Sachin Tendulkar broke the world record of Saeed Anwar by scoring 200* runs in an innings in the match that has been played at Captain Roop Singh Stadium, Gwalior India on 24 February 2010. The world record of Saeed Anwar was untouched for almost 12 years and finally broke by the little master by scoring a double century in One Day Internationals and this was also the first double century in the history of One Day Internationals. He score 200* runs on 147 balls by hitting 3 sixes and 25 boundaries with the strike rate of 136.05. He took 226 minutes to make new world record of highest individual score and first double century of ODIs. In that innings he smashed South African bowlers everywhere in the ground and entertained the crowd that were presented in the ground to watch this great innings and they also become the part of history. This also showed that the Indian pitches are very supportive to batsmen because earlier Saeed Anwar also made his world record of highest individual score in India and know Tendulkar broke that record in India as well. Although South African bowling attack was good but still they are matchless to the share class of Tendulkar.
In this innings Tendulkar made world record of highest individual score in an innings by beating previous world record of Saeed Anwar’s 194 runs. This is the best innings of his life in One Day Internationals and only doubly century in the history of ODIs. After this double century he is the only international player who made double centuries in both formats of the International cricket.
